Local Building Professionals Selected To Judge The Rio Grande Valley Builders Association’s 2019 Parade Of Homes

The following individuals were selected to serve as judges for the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association’s Parade of Homes that was held April 27-28 and May 4-5, 2019. The Parade featured 31 homes in various cities throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

SCOTT MARTIN

Energy Rating Solutions

Scott Martin manages Energy Rating Solutions, an Energy Consulting firm in Corpus Christi, Texas. He provides 2015 IECC Inspections, HERS rating, Third-Party Verification of homes qualifying for ENERGY STAR® certification, Manual-J, version 2.0 residential load calculations, and Manual-D residential duct layout/design using software approved by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA). Scott Martin has over 11 years of experience in the home energy rating industry and over 37 years in the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning industries. He continues to keep abreast of changes and upcoming trends in his area of expertise. In 2008, Martin received a RESNET Rater Certification, and in 2009, a RESNET Green Rater Certification. He participated in creating and developing the Coastal Bend Green Built Program for the local Builders Association and began certifying homes in the BUILT TO SAVE™ program in the Coastal Bend area. This year, Scott Martin was the exclusive judge for the RGVBA’s “Most Energy Efficient Home” award.

VICTOR H. IBARRA

Levian Homes

Victor H. Ibarra, builder/owner of Levian Homes, began constructing homes early in his career after graduating from Texas A&M University at College Station with a Civil Engineering degree. In 2009, Ibarra moved to Corpus Christi where he began his first construction project: building twenty townhomes in Calallen.  By 2013, his company, Levian Homes, had built an additional twenty townhomes. Eventually, Ibarra began building custom homes in Flour Bluff. Today, Levian Homes builds primarily on North Padre Island outside of Corpus Christi, and has received many accolades for the company’s work. In last year’s local Parade of Homes competition, Levian Homes received the “Best Kitchen Award” in their specific category for their Parade home entry. The home also won the prestigious “People’s Choice Award.” Victor Ibarra currently serves as a board member with the Coastal Bend Home Builders Association.

DOLORES SANCHEZ

Onesimus, LLC

Dolores Sanchez, builder/owner of Onesimus, LLC, has been in the construction industry in the Coastal Bend for over 25 years. In addition to being a custom homebuilder, Sanchez is a master plumber by trade. He founded his plumbing company, Econo Plumbing, in 1987. He has served as President of the Coastal Bend Builders Association and is an active member of the Association’s Past President’s Council. Onesimus LLC specializes in building custom homes along with commercial construction. Sanchez’s company is known for its dedication to quality construction, attention to detail, and the ability to achieve customers’ individual visions of their homes.

LESLIE SCHEY

2-10 Home Buyers Warranty

Leslie Schey has been on the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association Parade of Homes Committee for many years.  Her main job is to procure Parade judges for the RGVBA’s Parade event. Leslie has been a Builder Solution Specialist with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty for 13 years.  She lives in Corpus Christi, Texas, but her territory covers all of South Texas from San Marcos to Laredo, and from Victoria to the Rio Grande Valley.  She loves working with builders and helping Builder Associations, and she serves on the Texas Association’s Board of Directors, representing the associates of South Texas. Leslie is a valued member of the Rio Grande Valley Builders Association and plays a major role in the success of the annual Parade of Homes event.
